I've been trying to be as healthy as I can be for the past several years now. I enjoy being healthy and when I get off track I can certainly tell...and yes, I've been a bit off track lately. So, off to the market I went for a restock of my usual healthy items. About a year and a half ago my uncle, who is super insanely healthy it is just ridiculous (I only say that because I am jelly), turned me on to wheatgrass powder. Back in the day when I worked at a little coffee shop, we actually juiced wheatgrass, so I was already familiar with it. Since I don't have a backyard full of wheat grass or a wheat grass juicer...I opted for the powder and have been drinking it since. It really does make a difference. I have more natural energy, not like when I've had too much caffeine and feel like I'm going to jump out of my skin. It also gives my immune system s huge boost and helps get rid of any toxins that may be lurking about from that mexican food I had the other day. So, I decided to get creative with my wheatgrass and made smoothie. It's was yum!
You can get wheatgrass powder from your local health food store. I get mine from Sprouts.
Just blend half a banana, one cup of apple juice (I used a little less), one scoop of wheatgrass, and 1/4 cup of berries. Blend together and there you have it!
Cheers!

Okay...as long as it has other stuff to mask the taste maybe I'll give it a whirl.
Looks fun. I obviously need to avoid wheatgrass, as I'm on meds to suppress my autoimmune system.
It does make me long for a smoothie, right now. Peace, Mari
@Aunt Missy, the other stuff makes it gooood!
@heavy hedonist, it is pretty fun to make and drink but I understand not being able to mix with your meds. It would have the opposite reaction. :)
