Super Shopping Saturday!

My sister and I went to the Benbrook Antique Mall. I have been dying to go back ever since my mom took me there the weekend before Christmas. It is pure bliss! Everything is so well priced and the customer service is fantastic. There are treasures to be found behind every corner. I was excited about this trip because I had my eye on the plethora of Pyrex sold there. Oh, I scored big...oh I scored so BIG! I think this will be my new addiction, shopping for vintage Pyrex at the antique mall!

They have a ton of butterfly gold, friendship, and spring blossom Pyrex which I think I will go back for soon but I got away with 2 huge mixing bowls and a set of baking dishes that I think are the "daisy" pattern. I am still doing my research. If anyone knows what the pattern is called please let me know because I am just not certain that it is the daisy pattern.

And the mixing bowls from the "Verde" collection....

There is a booth at the antique mall that I drool over every time. I thought I would give you a little sneak peek. My sister and I met the lady who owns the booth, she is very quirky but I think you would have to be to have a booth like this!!!

I also found a great little vintage Coca-Cola tin tray for my bar area in my kitchen. This is something new that I have added to the kitchen and is still a W.I.P. I searched high and low for a vintage ice bucket for the bar but that was a no go.

After the antique mall we went to the book store. We made a hit for the cafe and got some iced coffee, then I bet you can guess what section we went to. Yup, the craft book section. It was very convenient because the craft book section was right next to the cafe so, it was totally meant to be. We sat there for close to 2 hours looking at books. There were books scattered all about on the floor. Oh, how I love the smell of a freshly bound book, well, especially a freshly bound craft book. It was a hard choice to figure out which book would leave with each of us.

My sister decided to go with Seams to Me and a knitting book that "seams" (yes, I know) to escape me at the moment. I decided that I needed a good book on needle felting and found this little book...

Last time I was in the book store they were all out of the fall edition of spin off mag, I was rather disappointed because I completely missed out on it but the winter edition was fully in stock today!!!! And yes, I love it so much that I find it absolutely necessary to post a picture of it.

I also finished my pillows last night. I am very happy with the way they turned out. You can't go wrong with an adorned throw pillow!

I live for days like this!

Cheers!

oops. i guess "mismatching" rather than "miss matching" (as if they were pageant runner ups) would be more fitting in this case ;)

Ha! You are hilarious Cammi!

You have been hard at work if you taught yourself how to knit in the round and crochet all in one week! That is fantastic and certainly more than I can say for myself. We are going to have to get together soon and knit some socks! Since all my Christmas crafting is done I am going to try to finish those socks I have been working on FOREVER!
