Sneak Peek Into The Living Room Makeover

Since I had some unexpected extra time today, I continued to work on my dining room makeover project. So, here is a little sneak peek! This weekend I found an old tray in the garage. It was pretty dingy and unusable in the condition that I found it in. Come to think of it, the tray may be my sisters from when we lived together. Oops! Well, it looks better now anyway. If it is yours Sis I am very sorry I did not ask you first!

Here is the tray before.

I painted it white with some of the left over paint from my living room and hallway painting project (which is still a W.I.P).

I cut a piece of fabric that was left over from covering my dining room chairs and also making slip covers for the couch pillows. I laid the fabric inside the tray an drew a line where I would need to cut to make the shape of the tray.

Then I broke out the Mod Podge!  This stuff is awesome! A must have for every crafty person's collection. That statement is validated over here.

I put a layer of the Mod Podge directly on the tray.

Then laid the fabric down on top of it and pressed it smoothly with my hands.

I painted a later of Mod Podge on the fabric and then repeated this about 3 times.

Viola! The final result! This is going to go on the coffee table.

Here is another little sneak peek into my living room makeover project.

Dining room chair before.

Dining room chair after!

Cheers!

Liz it all looks GREAT! I've never used Modge Podge but after seeing what you just did I think there's a container of it in my futures. Can't wait to see more of what you do and then the big picture when you get it all done. :)
